Dr Desen Mbachaga, a lecturer in the Theatre and Media Arts Department of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti in Ekiti State, was suspended on Tuesday by the university's administration for suspected sexual harassment. Mbachaga, an associate professor, was suspended "on the grounds of prima facie evidence of sexual harassment established against him by a panel set up by the institution's Faculty of Arts, which investigated the allegation," according to Mr. Foluso Ogunmodede, the Vice-Chief Chancellor's Information Officer.
