Mr. Ismaila Mustapha has given the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission a 14- day deadline to apologize over an alleged libelous publication. Mompha made the demand in a letter signed by his lawyer, Mr Gboyega Oyewole, saying that failure to comply will tantamount to a lawsuit. According to a statement disclosed by Oyewole, "he said the Anti- graft agency's spokesperson, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren had committed a libellous and defamatory statement about Mompha.
