A man has fetched himself a jail term of eight years for illegally stealing over N1m from his employer's bank account. The 35-year-old bartender named Godwin Job was accused of stealing his employer's ATM card through which he withdrew the sum of N1,079,290. He stole the sum of money from the Fidelity Bank account of his Employer named Olufemi Joseph Odusanya. It was also revealed that the convict made a total of 14 transactions in less than 2 hours while withdrawing the sum of money. Though he pleaded not guilty
Godwin Job is a 35 years old man who works as a Bartender. According to EFCC reports Godwin stole an ATM card belonging to his boss Olufemi Joseph Odusanya. Godwin later, illegally withdrew the sum of N1,079,290 from a Fidelity Bank account belonging to his boss, Olufemi. It was disclosed that he evacuated his employer's account with 14 transactions withing two hours. After which his employer wrote a petition against him. EFCC Arrested him and arraigned him. EFCC arraigns Barman named Godwin Job, for allegedly stealing over one million naira. The economic and financial crime commission, Ibadan zonal office on Monday being 17th August arraigned a bar tender who works in a hotel for alleged stealing of money. He was arraigned in court before justice Bayo Taiwo of Oyo State high court sitting on Ibadan. The defendant was arraigned on a two count charges bordering on stealing. The charge is contrary to section 399 (9) of criminal code law cap 38, laws of Oyo state.
