Two female suspects identified as Aisha Ibrahim and Hafsat Adamu, that were reportedly paraded by police in Abuja, have narrated how they helped bandits traffic guns across states. According to Aisha, she delivered an AK-47 rifle from Lafia, Nasarawa State to her male friend whom she identified as Babangida (one of the 11 kidnap suspects paraded by the police force), in Kaduna State.
Yesterday, Sahara Reporters reported how Nigerian Police apprehended two women in Abuja for smuggling guns to some kidnappers in Kaduna. While paraded, the two arrested women confessed how they have been able to carry AK-47 rifles from Lafia, Nasarawa state to Kaduna on different occasions. One of the women, Aisha Ibrahim, revealed that she takes guns from Abuja to Kaduna by hiding them inside hijabs.
