S/South Govs Reacts To Buhari's Comment On Restructuring The Southsouth Governors Forum has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s latest comments on restructuring the nation. Naija News reports that at an event over the weekend, Buhari stated that those agitating for separation and canvassing for restructuring are naive and ignorant of war.
In the month of May 2021, Southern Governors met and agreed to ban the open grazing of cattle in their region. The unanimous decision came as a means to curb the worsening state of insecurity supposedly caused by armed Fulani Herdsmen. According to The Guardian, the governors stressed that the development and population growth in the southern region led to more chances of conflict between the local inhabitants and migrating herders.
As the 2023 General Elections is fast approaching, it's no longer a news that some serving State Governors 'll complete their second-term tenure by May 29, 2023. Interestingly, a handful number of these outgoing Governors are already making moves to remain relevant in the Political space.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, has dissociated itself from threats that was recently issued by a Fulani Jihadist group to attack and bomb different locations in Delta State. According to the National Secretary of MACBAN, Othman Ngelzarma, he described the threat as an attempt by faceless individuals to dent the image of Fulani herdsmen in southern Nigeria.
The leader of the Fulani community in Delta State, Murktar Usman, has issued a statement today, 15th June 2021, as regards the threat made by a group who identified themselves as "Fulani Jihadists".
