President Bola Tinubu met with members of the G5 or the Integrity Group on Thursday at the Aso Villa in Abuja. The group, led by one serving governor and four former governors, caused a major schism within the Peoples Democratic Party by demanding that the then-National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu step down for a southern replacement as a condition for supporting the party's flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25 presidential election.

Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on Friday inaugurated some of the major projects of his administration that fulfilled his promise made in his inaugural speech to equip and modernize the university town of Nsukka, the second largest city in the state. According to Daily Post, The projects Governor Ugwuanyi inaugurated to mark the successful completion of his eight-year term were the Enugu State Secretariat Annex in Nsukka, the Nsukka Conference Center adjacent to the State Secretariat Annex, the 5,000-seat Nsukka Township Stadium, and the Nsukka Press Center.
