Recently, the special adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Lagos State Governor, Joe Igbokwe has said that anyone who is involved in the incessant killings in Igboland will never know peace. In his Facebook post, he wrote: "ANYBODY OR GROUP OF PERSONS WHO HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN KILLING ANYBODY IN IGBOLAND IN THE NAME OF BIAFRA WILL NOT KNOW PEACE WITH HIS ENTIRE FAMILY TILL THE END OF AGE.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide has expressed worries over the recently launched military operation in the South-East, codenamed, ‘Operation Golden Dawn’. Ohanaeze, in a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, alleged that the actions of the previous Operation Python Dance was responsible for the increased violence and insecurity in the South-East.
The time for every progressive and lover of South East region to wake up and rescue Igboland from total collapse is now.
