He made this promise when he visited Ooni of Ile Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi in his palace. Ademola Adeleke, a former Senator representing Osun East in the red chamber of the National Assembly contested for the Governor of Osun State in 2018 but lost to the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
According to a news report in the Punch Newspaper, the National Assembly have passed a bill to upgrade Adeyemi College of Education to an autonomous university. The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife has fired a senior lecturer for sexually harassing a former female student of the institution. The lecturer, Adebayo Mosobolaji was found guilty of breaching the provisions of the university’s Code of Conduct “in the manner he related with a student of the department, Rachel Momoh.” A statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that the decision to relieve the lecturer of his duty was reached at the University Council sitting on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 having been found guilty of the act.

The governing council of the Obafemi Awolowo University ,Ile Ife have terminated the appointment of one of it's lecturers , Dr Adebayo Mosobolaje of the department of English , for acts relating to sexual harassment of a student of the department . In a unanimous decision of the combined Joint Council and the University Board , the university unanimously agreed that based on the evidence available to the comitee which sat onTuesday , the 7th of October , that Dr Adebayo 's appointment with the institution should henceforth be terminated and all documents belonging to the institution be returned
A senior lecturer by name Mr. Adebayo Mosobolaji from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-ife has been relieved of his appointment for harassing a former female student of the institution sexually. The termination of his appointment was officially announced by the university via a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon by Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, the public relations officer.
