National Salaries, Income And Wages Commission Has Commenced The Implementation Of 2021-2025 Plan

The National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission says implementation of pensioner's increment arising from the consequential adjustment for the 2021 national minimum wage Act has been concluded and is expected to commence soon. The Acting Chairman of the commission, Ekpo Nta stated this in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital where board members and head of departments converge to assess and make necessary inputs on the implementation plans drawn up.

Buhari: New salary structure for police, civil defence coming soon

The National Salary, Income and Wages Commission has been authorised by President Mohammadu Buhari to expedite action on the finalization of the new salary structure of members of the Nigerian Police Force. Buhari announced this during his address to the Nation on Thursday evening. He added that other paramilitary agencies like the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Immigration Service, Correctional Services and The Nigerian Fire Service will equally have their Salaries reviewed subsequently.

For long now, it has been an undisputed fact that members of the teaching profession were being highly underpaid.
