Kikiowo who was caught on his way to buy bullets ahead of an operation disclosed that his motive for involving in armed robberies was to become famous like past notorious armed robbers such as Ishola Oyenusi, Mufu Olosha Oko, Lawrence Anini, and Shina Rambo.

A 27-year-old notorious armed robber, Gbenga Kikiowo have been arrested by police detectives in Ondo. Kikiowo confessed that he started committing crimes at the age of seven and wished to be more popular than likes of Shina Rambo, Evans and Ishola Oyenusi. He told journalist that he had operated in Ghana and had been remanded three times.

Gbenga Kikiowo from Igbara Oke in the Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State is among the suspects captured by men of the state police command for for involvement in robberies. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Bolaji Salami, who strutted Kikiowo close by one Tope Aladeloye at the command headquarters in Akure, on Wednesday, said the suspects were associated with numerous thefts in the state and had admitted to the wrongdoing.
