Olayemi Koiki has revealed how one of Sunday Igboho followers, Adogan was killed by members of the DSS operatives. According to Koiki, he explained that Adogan took 48 bullets to his body and was still standing like a fearless man. Explaining further, Koiki said that after the bullets failed to penetrate Adogan's body, members of the DSS now went ahead to maim him.

The voice, alleged to be that of Sunday Igboho's spokesman, was heard reportedly laughing while reporting the detention of the activist. While the action was interpreted by some people to be a mockery, others opined that the speaker is crying.
Following the arrest of Sunday Igboho, several protests have taken place in Nigeria and abroad to demand the freedom of the activist. Igboho's lawyers have also been working reportedly in order to secure his release from the Beninese government. Sunday Igboho was arrested in Cotonou while allegedly planning to move to Germany.
