There are plans by the federal government to pay ex-Biafran soldiers who had fought in the Civil War that took place years ago. This disclosure was made by the Minister of Defense, Basir Magashi (rtd). According to a report by The Punch, Magashi stated that so far, about 102 of the ex-Biafran soldiers have been captured to be paid gratuity and other emoluments by the Military Pensions Board.
