In the news that we gathered today, Ralph Uwazuruike, the founder of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, spoke on the insecurity issue and the agitations for the people of the South East to break away from Nigeria. Aisha Yesufu, a Nigerian socio-political activist has made a call to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB that they should try getting their members to occupy Government houses, State House of seats and National assembly seats. She made the call to members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB on Twitter, while also stating that the members of IPOB should calm down, that there was MASSOB, before IPOB came into being, and that they did not discover the agitation.
For a long time now, several groups like IPOB, MASSOB and others have been agitating for a separate country known as Biafra in the south east region of the country. IPOB for instance on several occasions asked the federal government of Nigeria to conduct a referendum in the south east region, so as to know whether Igbos want to remain in Nigeria or not.
The President General of Ọhaneze Ndị Igbo Youth Council Okwu Nnabuike has called on the Igbo youth to endeavor to participate actively in the ongoing INEC Voter's registration. In his Statement signed and released by hs secretary-General Obi na Achionye in Enugu, he emphasized the need of Igbo youths to avail themselves and get their voter's card registered despite their agitation for Biafra Republic.
MASSOB which is a group movement trying to facilitate the emergence of the republic of Biafra has recently condemned the statement made by Femi Gbajabiamila who is the speaker of the house of representatives. Do recall that the speaker had earlier made comparisons between IPOB and Oduduwa republic with Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorist group.

The movement for an independent state in the Eastern region of Nigeria, called Biafra began several years ago. Recently, the Nigerian government through the Attorney General of the federation Mr. Abubakar Salami released a statement that confirmed the re-arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Recall that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), a secessionist group that is dominant in the southeastern part of the country.
The popular Nigerian Human Rights activists, Aisha Yesufu While reacting on the recent and frequent agitations by the Biafran agitators, she released a statement via her twitter handle on Saturday in which she urged the Biafran agitators to calm down. In her statement, Aisha Yesufu stated that Before IPOB there was MASSOB so they should calm down because the agitations was not discovered by them.
For months, Anambra state has been disturbed with violent acts from different agitation groups ranging from the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), the Eastern Security Network (ESN), and MASSOB.
