There are fifty one state-owned colleges of education that are approved by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) in Nigeria. Eleven of these schools are located in the North Central Geopolitical Zone which comprises six states and the Federal Capital Territory. It is interesting that only two of these North Central colleges are currently professors as provosts.

Gunmen abduct 13 passengers in Niger The Police Command in Niger on Wednesday confirmed the abduction of thirteen passengers by gunmen at Konar Barau village of Rafi Local Government Area of the state.
