The fight against banditry has become a nightmare for the security forces and people. The bandits have continued to make lives unbearable for people with their mindless attacks. They have displaced many people from their ancestral homes and grabbed their lands from them. According to a report on Naija News, 11 persons have been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSDC) for alleged involvement in Banditry and cattle rustling in Sokoto State.
The youth of Irate community on Tuesday vandalized the private property of Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso the deputy governor of Niger state in Minna. The demolition of shops in the mini-market located along Brighter road by the state urban development board is said to have spiked the Irate's youths reaction. The market men and women of the market claimed they were not given any notice of eviction prior to the demolition of the market, stating that goods/property worth thousands of naira were damaged by the board.
