Former Minister of Aviation during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Femi Fani Kayode a few days ago defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC months after it was rumoured that he wanted to do so. He was seen at the Presidential Villa with President Buhari alongside Mai Mala Buni and Bello Matawalle.

Olagunsoye Oyinlola was in pole position to emerge as the next National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party. He was favoured because of his impressive track record as a former Governor and his depth of understanding in politics.

The bill was passed by the state House of Assembly on August 12, and transmitted to the Governor for assent.
A liquor Seller Popularly called 'Ogogoro seller', Mumini Olaonipekun, in Osun State, has been taken into the police custody after he reportedly handed over himself to the police stating that he stabbed one his customers who died in the process. The incident which occurred at the Pub of Mumini at Ifon Orolu on Monday, September 13 was said to have started after a fight broke up between Mumini and the customer, who was identified as Wale.
The Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has signed the Osun State anti-open grazing bill into law. The bill which seeks to ban the practice of open grazing in the state and regulate animal grazing and establishment of cattle ranches and other related matters was passed during plenary by the Osun State House of Assembly.
