Otunba Michael Subomi Balogun was born in 1934 at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a direct descendant of Oba Tuwase of IjebuLand. He passed away on the morning of Friday 19th May 2023 at 89 years old. Otunba who joined Africa Industrial Development Bank in 1966 developed interest to advocate for the establishment of Merchant Banks in Nigeria sponsored by NIDB.
