Following the ongoing ban of open grazing system in the whole of the Southern region, some masked men from Oyo State have in a report from Sahara Reporters issued a 30 days ultimatum to all Fulani and Hausa people living in all parts of Yoruba land to evacuate the region along with their cows before the expiration of the ultimatum.

During an interview, Mr. Rashidi Ladoja stated that Bola Tinubu will govern Nigeria better if he is elected as the president in the 2023 General election.

According to a report by the Nation, the National zoning committee headed by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has not been able to reach a binding decision on the issue of zoning as two groups, "the maintain the status quo group", headed by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and the “move around group” headed by former Senate president, Anyim Pius Anyim, want the party to adopt a zoning formula that favours them.

In the information that was given, it was made known that the leader of the masked men, who revealed his name as Sunday Oyo, told President Muhammadu Buhari to warn his people to leave Yoruba Land within 30 days, which started counting on the 25th of September, 2021 and that they should be expecting disaster if they fail to leave southwest after the stipulated date.
One major desire of political office holders in Nigeria is to remain politically relevant and if possible retain their offices according to the number of years stipulated by the constitution. To this, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has started making necessary strategic movements that will ensure that his re-election in 2023 will be possible.
