Armed security personnel (mostly policemen) have been deployed to Lekki Tollgate ahead of tomorrow's planned memorial protest at the Tollgate, Punch Newspaper reported. In some photos making around on social media handles, a handful of security agents and their vehicles were seen stationed at strategic locations at the gate.
A report reaching us from Punch Newspaper has confirmed the attack on a mosque by armed bandits. The report revealed that the incident happened in Maza-Kuka community of Mashegu local government area of Niger State. A source revealed that the attackers stormed the community on motorcycles and went straight to the mosque while their victims were having their morning prayer killing about 18 persons and injuring several others in the process.

The gunmen attacked a mosque at Maza-Kuka, in the Mashegu Local Government Area, Niger state, and killed 18 people, on Monday morning, October 25. Punch Newspaper reported that the armed men stormed the community, and went straight to the mosque, and attacked the victims that were performing their morning prayers.
