The federal government has pledged to finalize negotiations with NIPOST to begin delivering passports to Nigerians who choose to use such services, using NIPOST's express postal service. Prison Decongestion: FG asks governors to waive minor fines owed by inmates
Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola has urged governors to pardon prisoners who owe penalties of less than N1 million.At the Port Harcourt maximum security detention facility, Aregbesola gave a speech during the commissioning of a medical unit with 20 beds. According to the minister, 5,000 individuals are incarcerated across the country for penalties of less than N1 million.
Adeleke Dissolves Osun State University Governing Council
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has dissolved the governing council of the state varsity. According to punchng.com, the council headed by Yusuf Ali, was appointed in 2016 by Rauf Aregbesola and also the immediate past governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, after it completed its first five year tenure.
