NAPTIP: 135 Victims Rescued, 86 Suspected Human Traffickers Arrested In Kano

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), has said that it protected 135 casualties and captured 86 speculated human dealers in Kano State from January till date.  Mr Shehu Umar, the Commander accountable for NAPTIP in Kano Zone, made the revelation in a meeting with newsmen on Tuesday in Kano.  Omar said that the protected 135 casualties involved 23 guys and 112 females.  He further clarified that the order got 86 cases which included 22 outer and interior illegal exploitation,

A 29-year-old woman, identified as one Jamila Abubakar, has been apprehended by operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), for allegedly beating her seven-year-old stepson whose name was given as Muhammad Bashir to death.
