Nigerian professor of political economy, Pat Utomi has denied receiving any money from president-elect, Bola Tinubu during the last election cycle. While reacting to a claim by Tawfiq Akinwale, the 2023 governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Oyo state, that Bola Tinubu gave him money to fund Peter Obi's campaign, Pat Utomi in a post released on his Twitter handle, said if he had actually received money from Bola Tinubu, he would've withdrawn the money he spent in 2007.
