Former Chairman, Ekiti State House of Assembly Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Adeoye Aribasoye of the All Progressives Congress, representing Ikole Constituency II, on Tuesday, emerged as Speaker of the state Legislative arm. Following the announcement of the 26-member legislative body by the governor, Biodun OyebanjI, in accordance with the constitutional mandate, Aribasoye, who was also a former Chief Whip during the most recent Assembly, won the position of Speaker without opposition.

Nigeria public relations officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin reacted on Wednesday to the claims of Arise News Tv presenter Mr. Rufai Oseni that some thieves stole from people and collected brain boxes of cars in the Ketu area of Lagos state. CP Benjamin replied that he contacted the DPOs in the Ketu and Alapere areas of the state and found no report of such an incident.
