Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state has said that the police should be held responsible if there is a break down of law and order in his state.He said that after revealing that the police released some persons arrested with fake Army uniforms and gave their AK-47s back to them.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, recently donated the sum of N60 million naira to the family of deceased policemen killed by hoodlums while on duty.Gov.Udom made this announcement on Monday, 10 May 2021, during his visit at the state headquarters in Ikot Akpan-Abia, Uyo.

Gunmen Killed 21 Police Officers in Akwa Ibom.The police authorities in Akwa Ibom State said they have so far lost 21 officers due to gun attacks in the state.The commissioner of police in the state, Amiengheme Andrew, disclosed this on Monday while briefing Governor Udom Emmanuel who visited the police headquarters in the state to condole with the families of the slain officers and the police over the loss.
